Our mission: To help researchers share and preserve data

SWISSUbase is an online platform and services which are operated by a consortium consisting of FORS (Swiss Centre of Expertise for the Social Sciences) and the Universities of Lausanne, Neuchâtel and Zurich.

The purpose of SWISSUbase is to serve the Swiss scientific community to share and preserve research data for future reuse.

SWISSUbase is unique from other data sharing solutions – it is multi-disciplinary with rich discipline-specific and multilingual metadata. Data curation is performed by data experts in partner institutions, ensuring that data from different disciplines can be effectively shared, reused and preserved for the long-term.

FAIR compliant, SWISSUbase is aligned with international standards and has an extended search capability and multilingual user interface. It offers connectivity with European Research Infrastructures such as CESSDA for the social sciences and additional support and consultation for data management and sharing.

Depositing and accessing data on SWISSUbase, and its services, are free of charge for researchers. Read more about the benefits of SWISSUbase.
